ARTS AND CRAFTS LISBON NETWORK shows Lisbon through their workshops, giving prominence to their craftsmen, to their working spaces, to their production modes and to their insertion in the neighborhood. The NETWORK wants to contribute to the recognition of the sustainability of Arts and Crafts in Lisbon, believing their activities are a fundamental part of the processes of urban regeneration. The NETWORK divulges the know-how of crafts to promote the use of their services and stimulate the interaction of their practices as an economic and cultural engine of the city, with technological and creative potential that is important to recognize and activate.

The NETWORK is a cartography of arts and Crafts as an active ethnographic approach, participated and connected to the territory, contributing to emphasize their presence as an identity feature of Lisbon. The NETWORK shows Arts and Crafts as city technology, reinforcing their role in the conservation, repair and restoration of heritage, and in the urban rehabilitation and regeneration of Lisbon. The NETWORK values specific training in Arts and Crafts, ensuring the fixation and transmission of that knowledge, associated with the training of new craftspersons, as well as with their qualification, encouraging their insertion in the work market.
