The proposal answered an invitation from Architectures Film Festival/ 2nd edition, for the conceptualization and coordination of the production of a specific installation of a site for the foyer of Alvalade City Cinema in Lisbon.
The foyer received the participants and the spectators, most of which architects, and welcomed the guests for the talks about Architecture and Cinema, during the four days of the festival.
We aimed to create a stage for the talks that could suggest a cinema ‘set’. The spectators would enter a filming ground, surrounded by a long bench that, somehow, would suggest a film strap or, on the other hand, could be a long building landing on a fictitious terrain. That terrain was composed with structures, some table benches constructed from overlapping horizontal slats, in blue wood (Valchromat), and in coloured extruded polystyrene foam (Fibran), suggesting the universe of architectural models with their contour lines.
