Digital Platform
Lisbon
2011

Agulha num Palheiro [Needle in a Haystack] is a qualified interface to people who love old houses from people who love old houses. It was born of the necessity and the difficulties experienced by people seeking to live in old houses in the city center.
Agulha num Palheiro brings together on a specialized showcase, houses and old buildings scattered in several sites and is looking for new real estate owners and tenants in order to give back life to these buildings. It was designed as a clarifier and intuitive tool to support the citizen and to help rehabilitating Lisbon!
The initial phase of the project was funded in 2011 by the Lisbon City Council BIP/ZIP programme. At the moment, is in course the expansion of the coverage area, extending the database to all Lisbon city center, due to a Crisis Buster Grant of Lisbon Architecture Triennale which will take place between 12th September and 15th December 2013.
