Lisbon Builders Network
Digital Platform
Lisbon
2018
The Lisbon Builders’ Network is a digital platform that opens space for all agents in the construction sector – designers, technicians, builders and other specialists – with the aim of stimulating reflection on rehabilitation from the point of view of those who designs and who executes, contributing to a broad discussion on building practices, and in particular the rehabilitation of the city of Lisbon.
The Lisbon Builder Network reflects on the current process of transformation of the city through mapping of ongoing rehabilitation works, and from contact with its various stakeholders in the areas of Archaeology, Architecture, Conservation and Restoration, Civil Construction, Engineering and Topography.
The Lisbon Builder Network mapped the works in Lisbon and built a database based on fieldwork conducted between November 2017 and November 2018, supported by qualitative and quantitative data from the Institute of Public Real Estate Markets and Construction (IMPIC) and the National Statistics Institute (INE).
